Each of these documents represents the voices of ordinary people caught in war in Eastern D.R.Congo.
They have been received with the urgent request to make their contents known as widely as possible - in the hope that they will be heard.

Association des Banyamulenge au Congo

We who are the veritable Banyamulenge look with dread at our Congolese brothers outburst of anger and hatred against us. At first we chose to be silent. But our conscience impels us to denounce what to us is a plot by false Banyamulenge not only against the Congo but also against us.
It is an undeniable fact that D.R.Congo extended its hospitality to us. Many of us who were born in the Congo have been integrated into the country in diverse professional capacities. We therefore owe the people of Congo our gratitude.
For a long time we have lived in peace. But that peace was subverted with the arrival in Congo of a new kind of Rwandan refugees. These individuals were born in Rwanda and belong to a national Tutsi movement. For many years they fought to impose Tutsi domination in Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda. The culture of violence and obsession for power are natural to them. That is why they assassinated the Hutu presidents of Rwanda and Burundi with utter disregard for the consequences. Everyone knows those consequences: over 500,000 people are dead. Therefore these individuals bear active responsibility in the genocide of 1994. We have a question for Kahara: If your planned coup against Kabila had succeeded, had you given any thought to the consequences? Do you want a repetition of what you did in Rwanda?
In the long term this national Tutsi movement advocates the establishment of a Tutsi Empire in Central Africa.
D.R. Congo is only the first step. To attain their objective they have decided to infiltrate Banyamulenge communities established in D.R.Congo. Bugera and Kahara are an example of these infiltrators.

We, the Banyamulenge, we do not want to suffer the consequences of the folly of Kagame, Kahara and Museveni.
That is why we denounce the invasion of D.R.Congo by Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda.
We ask all Banyamulenge to support D.R. Congo and to repudiate these impostors.
