Sunday 27 October has been a day of feast for International Evangelic Church of Rapallo.

On the last years the Church of Rapallo grown, enriching some presence of foreign brothers and sisters coming from different parts of world: Philippine, SriLanka, Ukraine, China, Brazil.

The old local was not enough in spaces, for which we have owed to move us in a more great and central local.

After long works of restructuralization, executed by members of church, finally we have inaugurated the new church, with abundant spaces for activities of worship, for activities of teaching to children of Sunday school, for activities collateral of community.

Worship of inauguration has been preceded by testimonies and greetings: Erica Naselli representing Baptist Union (at which our church adheres from its foundation on the 1987) has remembered birth and development of church of Rapallo, from that small group that gathered itself in houses. She is a living testimony, because member of Baptist Church of Chiavari that it has shared for a period of time the same pastor, Franco Scaramuccia. Therefore we have listened greetings and testimonies of representatives of Baptist Churches of the area, of Reformed and Methodist Churches.

A delegate of Catholic Church, in his testimony, has remembered how much important are ecumenical relationships between Christian of different confessions, after centuries of hate, dialogue and reciprocal knowledge is enrichment for all.

Worship is continued with songs in different languages: english and italian and with song of a few singing groups. A two believing Korean, coming from Baptist Church in Genova, has tuned up a song, a group Pilipino believer and a group Italian believer of International Evangelic Church of Rapallo have sung two songs of thanks.

The preaching of pastor of the Church has remembered that church has to be a place of welcome in love and in freedom, a place where everyone can express himself without fear of his own cultural, religious, social diversities.

Welcome need to be express with gestures concrete of solidarity also towards others reality not religious: our church has given hospitality and support to voluntary associations that help the poors and immigrated in the city, actually gives hospitality to local group of Amnesty International that acts on defence of the right violated.

Church that we inaugurate, pastor has continued, is place where we can listen and testifying God's word, together with others believing.

God can talk in many manners to person, but church can be a place privileged to listen and to share, can be a place where we can support in love: we don't inaugurate a holy local, but a local where God's presence is visible through the love of believer and through the preaching.

Worship has concluded with a moment of fellowship.

A broadcasting Catholic television has filmed the ceremony, broadcasting in the area: this has been an opportunity to make know a Christian Protestant presence in the area, above all in this period in which seems that to be Christian mean to be catholic.
