- In the 96/97 season, TAMAR reached the figure of 2,500,000 hatchlings released on the beach.
- Hardly any nests have been destroyed by humans in the area the Program covers. In Praia do Forte, no nests at all have been destroyed.
- Over 70% of the nests remain in their original sites.
- Effective participation of the communities in the program, standing on a peaceful and loyal relationship in which mutual trust prevails.
- The sea turtle publicity has fostered ecotourism in the areas where TAMAR operates; this has created direct and indirect jobs, bringing about changes in the social and economic reality of these communities.
- It has provided training to local labor, offered technical and professional improvement to 60 university students from Brazil and abroad every season, and received 20 volunteers in that same period.
- More than 200 children attend the public nursery / kindergarten center the Program supports, in Praia do Forte, Bahia.
- 30 direct jobs have been created for the women who work on the Pro-TAMAR clothes manufacturing workshop, in Regência, Espírito Santo.
- Children of the community of Regência are being trained in the Recycled paper workshop.
- It has offered job opportunities for more than 20 women who are part of the Embroidery Group, in Pirambú, in the state of Sergipe.
- It supports the creation and implementation of cultural and recreational centers for children and young people.
