Journalists on 3 December 1998:
On 21 October 1998, Clovis Mwamba Kayembe, a journalist with the opposition newspaper "L'Alarme", was arrested in connection with an article he wrote concerning the departure for Belgium of the Minister of State for the Interior, Gaetan Kakudji. Kayembe appeared before the appeals court once since his arrest, and is currently detained at the Penitential and Reeducation Center of Kinshasa (CPRK).
