President Kabila Leaves Libya
November 30, 1998
TRIPOLI, Libya (PANA) - Democratic Republic of Congo President Laurent Kabila
left Syrte, 450 km east of Tripoli, Monday, where he arrived Sunday for talks
with Libyan leader Muammar Kadhafi.
Kabila discussed Sunday night with Kadhafi the latest developments in the Great Lakes region, particularly the security situation in his country.
Libyan television reported that Gambian President Yahya Jammeh also attended the discussion. Kabila and Jammeh had stopped over in Libya after the France-Africa summit in Paris, which ended Saturday.
