| ACTIVITIES The bands has given shows in all kinds of settings. The bands’ show are accompanied by educational activities, with emphasis on the recycling workshops. Members of BAGUNÇAÇO and all of its subsidiary bands learn to make paper, toys and masks from recycled materials and to pass on the techniques to others around the world. BAGUNÇAÇO has played street fairs, catholic masses and Afro-Braizlian religious festivals.  All of this musical bagunça (mess) caught the attention of international producers which resulted in the band CIA ECO PERCUSSIVA BAGUNÇAÇO going on a tour of Europe (France and Luxembourg) for 40 days in 1996. They participated in festivals such as "Les Rencontres du Sud" in the historical city of Arles, in the south of France, they played with musicians such as Cheb Mami and Carlos Santana, and they ran ecological workshops for Europe kids. These activities inspired the formation of the first international fan club of the band, based in Luxembourg city. This summer (98) the band is going back to France to play with Daniela Mercurry during her tour during World Cup in France. After that we will be touring till middle of august when we come to Stockholm, Sweden |
